What Should I Buy?

That sweet little baby decided to come early, and Perfectly Preemie is here to help!

What in the world do you need for the tiniest babies on earth? Perfectly Preemie was started by a mother of three who has been designing and manufacturing preemie clothes for over 20 years. Cressie has done her research with the Doctors, Nurses and Parents of preemies, and knows what is required in the NICU and for heading home. Some of our styles we began with back in 1993, with some updates and new trim styles, but basically the same. We also have added several new styles like the jumpsuit which is LOVED by all who try it. I have listed many of them below and hope you find exactly what your preemie needs.

Perfectly Preemie is the only manufacture to offer three sizes to assure the best fit for your preemie. These sizes are Micro (1-2.5lbs), Teeny (2-4lbs) and Preemie (3-6lbs). Because of the request of many parents, we are increasing our offerings in the Take-Me-Home size (5-8lbs).

Please take a look around and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have at customercare@perfectlypreemie.com. If you see our cute little face in the chat icon, please ask away!

NIC-IV Shirt

This style provides the access needed in the NICU with velcro opening shoulders for easy on and off and working around medical needs. We have used velcro as closures because of it's quickness in opening. We do use the softest velcro possible and we think of where we put the hook and loop on all our styles, making sure the softest side is the one closest to the baby. This style is offered in all three sizes Micro - Preemie.

Sweet-Tee's

These little T-shirts are a great beginning for any size preemie, they are offered in the three sizes Micro-Preemie. They have a velcro closure in the front and wrap up around the diaper with ties on each side for a sweet look that's easy to wear. We recently added an open-shoulder option for even better work around with any medical needs.

NIC-Suit

This is the only style that is offered in both reversible and single layered. The two-piece design providing super easy dressing, access to the chest and diaper for quick changes. The reversible styles give two completely different looks.  Sizes: Micro-Preemie

NIC-Sac

These tiny garments are made with the NICU in mind. With plastic snaps on the shoulders and down the front that make dealing with IV's and monitors a breeze. The Long Sleeve NIC-Sac’s are the only gowns with plastic snaps available on the market. The snaps do not heat up and potentially hurt the skin, or interfere with x-rays. Sizes: Teeny-Preemie

NIC-Jumpsuit

Is a combination of our NIC-IV shirt and the playsuit. With the access to the shoulders for easy on and off and velcro at the crotch for quick diaper changes. We have worked with Velcro to find the softest option available. We are excited to start using their new brand Sleek and Thin in our productions runs starting in 2021. This garment opens completely flat for the easiest dressing, and is made in a multitude of adorable fabrics for the ultimate "cute and practical" NICU-friendly garment around. Size: Preemie and Take-Me-Home.

Crossover Baggette

The Crossover Baggette comes in both open and closed shoulders. The easy closing Velcro allows parents easy access day or night. The mitten cuffs and the fold-over bottom keeps the little hands and toes covered. Size: Multiple sizes are available.

Baggettes

This long bag has a fold over bottom to keep toes warm & cozy while still providing easy access for those diaper changes. Fold over knit cuffs help to keep the hands covered and warm and babies face free from scratches. The fold over bottom prevents the bag from riding up during sleeping, yet still giving great access. This is a better alternative to the old elastic bottoms and string pull ties. Sizes: Preemie & Take-me-Home.

 Other Clothing & Accessories

Hats

Keep a few at the hospital for a little extra warmth. Some hospitals have times when they may not want the preemie dressed, so having some cute hats ready to help hold in their body heat is always welcomed.

Booties

Several pairs of socks and booties are needed to keep those little feet warm and we have extremely cute choices for you!

Mittens

We suggest at least a few pairs to keep their face free from scratches - especially if the baby is wearing something without fold-over cuffs. You know babies just love to have their hands up near their face!

Leg Warmers

These basic fold-down cuff Leg and Arm Warmers are just right for the newest little baby, they help make those frequent diaper changes easier and provide a cozy layer of warmth both in the hospital and at home. They also are perfect for keeping those arms warm when IV's are still needed and short sleeve T's are called for.  The fold down top provides a nice fit for the littlest preemie, along with providing some growing room.
