Updated fit now available on Sweet-t’s

We recently redesigns a few elements on our little Sweet-t to improve the overall fit.
They include:

Longer front panels
Larger velcro front closure
Slimmer fit through the crotch

These little T-shirts are a great beginning style for any size preemie, while still providing excellent access in the NICU. Each Sweet-T comes with a cute matching hat.

A new set of Baggettes have arrived ~ perfect for a set of little Twins!

This set of baggettes are just adorable! They are made from very soft 100% cotton interlock, which is a real winner for these little preemies.

The baggettes are one of my favorite styles we offer. They have a fold over bottom which helps keep little toes warm and cozy while providing easy access for the middle of the night diaper changes. The fold over knit cuffs help to keep the little hands covered and warm and prevent scratches on the face, with those sharp little finger nails.

The lap styles neckline also provides easy dressing with a wide opening for over the head, it also works great to pull the baggette up from the feet and simply snug it around the neck and shoulders. This way you don’t have to go over the head and the little arms are easy to put into the sleeves since they are right at the babies side.

We are starting to feel the cooler mornings and fall is beginning to show itself. In anticipation we are adding some new warmer clothing for the cooler weather. These little footies from Baby Starters are a great way to get prepared, and such a great value at $12.95. We have 4 styles for girls and 3 new styles for boys. There is even a cute matching set for the twins that have just arrived.

Meet our Models

We are excited to introduce our new models. They will be helping us show the fit of the preemie (3-6lbs) size clothing. We felt it maybe helpful to shoppers to see the fit of the garments on a baby. It is extremely difficult to have a live model to use, so we found the next best thing. These two little guys won’t grow, so our models will be constant from fitting to fitting! They measure 18.5″ long and have a head circumference of 13″. They will be at the larger size of the preemie measurements.

They are shown below in Baby Vision Bodysuits, which fit them very nicely. We are looking forward to adding a Tiny (2-4lbs) model next.

An anniversary soon approaching…

As we approach another anniversary in our business, 18 years! We have revisited the questions still asked of us, Why? How? So we asked ourselves these questions why do we do what we do and how are we doing? I have found myself saying again “I do it because I love it, and I think we offer a great product and service to people you have great needs.” I heard again today the statistic 1 in 8 babies are born premature. I watched this video:

She is the youngest baby, surviving at 21 weeks.

They are just miracles, needing to be clothed.

Even though there are new storefronts opening on the web all the time, they will be hard-pressed to come anywhere close to matching our experience, sizing and selection. Since 1993, we’ve done the medical research, consulted with NICU staff, and dialogued with Preemie parents to determine just what a Preemie baby needs in regard to their clothing and accessories. We manufacture our own Perfectly Preemie Signature Design line of clothing to best meet these requirements. We’ve also looked far and wide for the best Preemie gear and products from other manufacturers to ensure that you find everything needed here in one stop.

That is How we do it, with years of experience and listening to our customers. We have revised some of our patterns, added some great new features. We are busy adding some new products. We have added some very cute things in our Organic category from Kumquat:

There are two new prints available in NIC-Gowns for little girls, just in time for summer. For little boys we have added two new Side Snap Gowns, Lator Gator, and Camo Trucks. Look for more coming in the next few days. One of my favorites is this Blue Stripe Side Snap Gown with a matching cap. He will be ready to go out and about with this complete outfit.
